Outstanding Section & Collegiate Chapter Partnership Award

This award encourages a high level of interaction between SAE Sections and their Collegiate Chapters. It honors exceptional efforts to develop a comprehensive, year-round program of activities, events, services, and networking opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications for being considered for the award:
- SAE Section must have a designated Vice Chair for Student Activities serving on the local Section Governing Board.
- Participating SAE Collegiate Chapters must have an SAE Faculty Advisor and a current slate of student officers (chair, vice chair, secretary, and treasurer) for each participating Collegiate Chapter.
Award levels:
- President's Citation for Outstanding Section/Chapter Partnership. This is the highest level award given to one SAE Section/Collegiate Chapters with the best overall program. The winning Section and Collegiate Chapters receive a plaque and website award icon as well as a monetary award designated for future teaming projects. They will also be featured in UPdate, the SAE International monthly member publication.
- SAE Section/Collegiate Chapter Partnerships of Distinction Awards. This award will be presented to all Sections & Collegiate Chapters that attain a minimum of 50 points based on the award criteria. There is no limit to the number of recipients of this award annually. Selected Sections and their participating Collegiate Chapters will receive an engraved plaque along with a website award icon.
- Certificate of Recognition. All nominated Sections/Collegiate Chapters that compile a minimum number of 30 points will receive a specially designed Certificate of Recognition.
Award Criteria and Points Assessment
SAE Sections and SAE Collegiate Chapters do a wide variety of member programs and services, all geared toward involving their members in local activities. Points awarded for each item are based on the level of participation and detail per item. If your Section/Collegiate Chapter conducts any unique activity not listed, please provide details of the activity under the 'Other Activities' portion.
