Dana Pless is SAE International's Chief Financial officer and is responsible for the organization's overall financial strategies and policies, accounting practices, and relationships with lending institutions and the financial community. He also provides oversight to all centralized corporate administrative functions within the SAE Enterprise. He joined SAE International in 1998.

Pless has over twenty-five years of management experience in finance and administration and has worked in association management since 1994. He previously worked at a mining and energy company for ten years in a number of financial positions including internal audit, cost accounting, and finance systems. He began his professional career as an auditor with one of the major public accounting firms.

Pless has served on the boards of the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives (CESSE) and the Pittsburgh Society of Association Executives (PSAE). He is also a member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Pless holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Association Executive.
