Thomas J. Drozda P.E.
After graduating from Nebraska University with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Tom worked as a process engineer at Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors. Picking up Professional Engineering (P.E.) status and an MBA (University of Detroit) along the way, he moved into technical journalism, serving as engineering editor at Production Magazine.
Tom spent 14 years as Director of Publications at the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and later as Group Publisher at Chilton Publishing, a division of American Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). After the sale of Chilton Publishing to the Walt Disney Company, Tom was promoted to Group Vice President at Cahners Business Information (Reed Business Information). He managed a $65 million media portfolio, including magazines, newspapers, trade shows, conferences, and electronic media. He has consulted on issues of business development in both the not-for-profit and commercial business sectors.
