ESTEC (The European Space Research and Technology Centre), based in The Netherlands, is the largest entity of the European Space Agency (ESA). ESTEC pools the scientific and engineering skills of people in 15 countries, and is active in the fields of telecommunications, earth observation, global satellite navigation system, and the development of manned space modules and launcher systems.
