KT-1 Woong Bee propellers

The KT-1 features Hartzell's four-bladed, feathering turboprop propeller design.
Hartzell Propeller Inc. has received an order from Samsung Aerospace for 85 propeller systems that were specifically developed and certified for Korea Aerospace Industries' KT-1 Woong Bee turboprop military trainer aircraft. The company has already delivered the first 20 propellers and has provided training to Republic of Korea Air Force personnel as part of the contract. The KT-1 is scheduled to enter service this year.

The company's Lightweight Turbine series of four-bladed, feathering propeller system, which has a 95-in diameter, is fitted to a Pratt & Whitney PT6 engine for the KT-1 application. The propeller, designed for good all-around performance throughout the flight envelope, was also developed to handle fully aerobatic flight.
