Ricardo helps speed electronics development
The rate of change in the application of electronics in the auto industry continues to increase. It is now estimated that automotive electronics drive up to 90% of functional innovation in new vehicles, with ever-more sensors and actuators being introduced. Typically, each new feature requires an electronic control unit (ECU), the average processor power of which is constantly increasing. Ricardo points out that there are practical limits to this expansion with regard to complexity and packaging.
