The Lexus IS 300 SportCross (top) and the compact sport sedan with a five-speed manual transmission (bottom), both 2002 models, share a 3.0-L inline six-cylinder engine that features variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) and produces 160 kW (215 hp) at 5800 rpm and 296 N•m (218 lb•ft) of peak torque at 3800 rpm.
