Hydraulic controller
Ruska Instrument Corp.'s Model 7615 combines high-speed pressure control with 0.01% precision for pressures from 20,700 to 275,800 kPa (3000 to 40,000 psi). The device can be used for high-volume applications that require an automated approach for conducting fatigue, cyclic, and performance testing of pressure sensors and transducers, including diesel fuel rail sensors and braking systems.
Long-range sensor
Model 503 of the Keyence LK-2500 Series CCD laser-displacement sensors provides 50-µm (1970-µin) resolution over a range of 250 to 750 mm (9.8 to 29.5 in). Over shorter distances, measurement resolutions of 10 µm (390 µin) are possible. Laser Time Flash Control aids accuracy, regardless of target surface wetness, color, or angle of orientation to the sensor. Applications include measurement at a safe distance from a moving object, and detection and measurement of defects such as bulges and indentations in manufactured products.
Engine dynamometer
Land & Sea, Inc.'s DYNOmite Pro dynamometers provide more than basic horsepower and torque curves. Included in their systems is DYNO-MAX 2000 Pro software, which can start the engine automatically and break it in while mapping its fuel curve, BMEP, friction losses, and mechanical efficiency, until finishing with a multi-page graphical test report printout. Additional features include full-inertial compensation, user-editable formulas, semi-auto zeroing transducers, configurable alarms, conditional test control logic, atmospheric correction, tunable spike filtering, and multiple-run overlaying (with optional averaging). The systems also support third-party devices such as exhaust gas analyzers and air/fuel ratio modules.
Power analyzer
Yokogawa Corp.'s WT1600 is a six-phase power analyzer designed to meet the needs of design, development, and production testing engineers working with inverters, electric motor evaluation, power supplies, and lighting equipment. The analyzer has Ethernet capability, 12 MB of internal memory, a 2.1-GB hard drive, SCSI interface, floppy disk drive, 6.4-in TFT color LCD display with VGA monitor output, a built-in printer, speed and torque inputs for motor evaluation, and a dc bandwidth to 1 MHz.
Power-supply testing
Chroma Systems Solutions' PowerPro III power test environment is easy to use, making it suitable for the production floor, but it offers the flexibility, customization, and sophistication necessary for advanced design labs. With fast test speeds and user-selectable analysis routines, the system is suited for design verification as well as high-volume incoming inspection, production test, burn-in, and environment stress screening of power supplies, converters, VRMs, battery chargers, and power entry modules.
