New resin, new process for Mazda IP
An instrument panel (IP) retainer for the Mazda6 using Basell's Hostacom thermoplastic resin that incorporates the foam and skin while meeting the paint and mold-in-color requirements of the application provides the automaker cost and performance improvements over the previously used engineering thermoplastic, according to Basell.
