Fuses for fuel-cell vehicles

A fuse series from Pudenz, designed for fuel-cell vehicles, protects heating/air conditioning systems, dc/dc converters, and systems that are fed directly by the driveshaft of the fuel-cell vehicle. The VF2 fuses have dimensions according to SAE J1284 and contain silver-plated copper contacts to assure good and sustainable contact, even under high operating temperatures. Offered with Ballard Power Systems' Mark 700 fuel cell, a compact unit that powers DaimlerChrysler's NECAR4, the VF2 fuse will also provide circuit protection for the NECAR5, DaimlerChrysler's next-generation fuel-cell vehicle.
