Virtual engine simulator

The MTS Virtual Engine Simulator from MTS Systems Corp. is the latest tool for testing automotive transmissions, clutches, and other drive train components. A blending of servohydraulic rotary actuator and dynamometer technology gives the system the capability to simulate engine torque and acceleration outputs for prototype drive train design evaluation. The system allows noise and vibration testing of drivetrain prototypes before the matching engine is available.
