Microwave backup warning system

Sense Technologies' Guardian Alert is an environmentally sealed, high-impact unit that provides the driver both visual and audible warnings of the presence of objects up to 2.7 m (9 ft) behind a vehicle. Designed for mounting at the vehicle's rear, the unit emits and receives microwave signals within a predefined area behind the vehicle. Using a proprietary pattern that covers the entire rear surface, the sensor detects the presence of targets by the resultant doppler shift caused by an object's movement — thus eliminating false alarms and increasing driver confidence.
