Catalytic converter substrate

Bosal has developed an innovative substrate technology that allows improved flexibility in catalytic converter
design at lower manufacturing costs. The Modular Block Metallic
Substrate withstands
severe high temperatures and vibration. The substrate consists of pre-coated metallic foils welded to a metallic frame. For mechanical resistance, Fe-Cr-Al alloy is employed for the substrate matrix and stainless steel is used for the outer shell. The block assembly allows the production of substrates with a range of densities from 31-194 cells/cm2 (200-1250 cells/in2).
