Advanced Elastomer Systems, L.P.'s M300 family of Santoprene thermoplastic elastomers for use in soft-touch automotive interior applications feature a 50% reduction in fogging vs. competitive commercial thermoplastic elastomers. Under DIN 75201B testing standard—100°C (212°F), 16 h—M300 yields fogging results as low as 0.7 mg (0.00002 oz). The injection-molding materials are specifically formulated for the critical processing and performance requirements of automotive interior components, offering good flow and appearance qualities while minimizing odor.
