Acetal copolymer
-
Ticona's Hostaform C13031 XF acetal copolymer has good chemical and impact resistance for sustained use with new biodiesel fuels at temperatures as high as 100°C (212°F). Applications for the new grade include emissions control and tank-mounted valves, as well as fuel sender units. Now used in Europe, biodiesel fuels contain rape seed methyl ether and are significantly more acidic than standard diesel fuels. The polymer has improved elongation at break (about 40%), which gives it high impact and crash resistance.
