Ultracapacitor for doors

MowerCache's PC5-5 ultracapacitor, which stores 23 J of energy at 5 V for immediately available high power delivery, is suitable for use in automotive subsystems such as those for power locks and windows. The unit measures 17 x 23 x 9.5 mm (0.66 x 0.90 x 0.37 in) and can be embedded in doors for trickle charging through point-to-point contact, thereby providing any required power for locking, inside lighting, and power window functions.
