Mikuni Corp.'s electronically controlled throttle body, the Electronic Throttle Valve, features a torque motor and has quick response. The torque motor was designed with a magnetic circuit design, which eliminated the need for a return spring during limp home operation. The driver can be supplied separately or integrated into the valve. The company offers the complete system, i.e., throttle body, throttle-position sensor, driver, and accelerator position sensor.
