EDP Co.'s miniature, low-cost, smart ultrasonic sensor, the SonaSwitch Mini, is available in two versions: Mini-S (two switched outputs) and Mini-A (analog output). With a diameter of 4 cm (1.70 in.), a depth of less than 2.5 cm (1 in.), and a weight of 18.7 g (0.6 oz), the device is claimed to be the lowest-profile, fully self-contained sensor of its kind.
