Teledyne Lighting & Display has a lens that puts 2-3 times more light into the projected beam. Called the Photon Funnel, the lens can replace parabolic reflectors. It achieves 80-90% optical efficiency using a total internal reflection non-imaging optical design. It can be used with incandescent and light-emitting diode light sources.
