Admotec has developed the Rotasyn Resolver for automotive steering, traction control, and engine management systems. Designed with few moving parts and low inertia, the transducer uses a unique solid rotor without slots, windings, or the need for a transformer. Output voltages are generated by the rotation of the rotor within the stator. The resolver can operate at up to 100,000 rpm and at temperatures to 150 °C. It has good noise immunity and resistance to magnetic interference.
