POSITION SUMMARY
THIS POSITION IS RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPING, STRATEGIC PLANNING, IMPLEMENTING, CONDUCTING, AND MANAGING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO QUALITY RELATED SEMINARS/COURSES AND SYMPOSIA) BY WORKING WITH AND MANAGING VOLUNTEERS, CONTRACTORS, SUPPLIERS, AND STAFF.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, implement and monitor short and long range operations and business plans for assigned areas (internal and external) of responsibility and developing and implementing strategic plans and annual program plans.
- Develop strategic marketable programs to meet plans including key contingency planning and crisis management.
- Manage implementation of programs after development to meet goals.
- Contribute to assigned budgets to meet established goals.
- Provide guidance and support to organizers, advisory panels, special committees (i.e., Supplier Support Committee), etc.
- Develop and execute new business development within Professional Development field.
- Supervise assigned personnel (consultants, auditors, or staff).
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- A bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of working experience, or equivalent, required
- Business degree desired
- Working knowledge of basic business and marketing techniques to turn enrollments into conversions
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time, required
- Strong organizational and planning skills, required
- Strong team development and leadership skills, required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, required
- Ability to independently identify and carry out multiple programs and projects, required
- Ability to teach courses to technical professionals, required
