Resume and Recruitment Boards
If you're looking to hire or be hired, you can post a resume or job opening on the bulletin board available in the registration area at most SAE-administered meetings for FREE! Click here for a ">listing of resume/recruitment boards.
Companies interested in posting an open position can mail or fax their job opening (8.5 x 11 only) to the attention of Claudia Ross, SAE, 400 Commonwealth Drive, Warrendale, PA 15096-0001; fax: 724/776-3393; or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Job postings should be received by SAE no later than five business days before the meeting. Job openings and resumes may also be posted onsite.
The SAE Member Roster is a searchable online listing of professional SAE members. This resource is extremely helpful in the job search, and to make key contacts at a prospective employer. Local Section Meetings
Attending local section meetings or activities provides an excellent opportunity for networking, making valuable contacts, and obtaining information on job leads.
Career Development Session
Administered annually at the SAE World Congress & Exposition and other meetings on a rotating basis, the Career Enhancement Session features experts from the human resources and management staff of major corporations who discuss issues such as recognizing opportunities in the workplace, obtaining recognition, and taking steps to achieve career goals. The session also focuses on the job search and its effect on individuals and families, what skills employers require in todays new hires, elements of an attention-getting resume, and effective interviewing techniques.
