Kristin Schondorf, Research and Advanced Engineering Project Manager, Future of MobilityFord Motor Company
Kristin Schondorf is the dedicated global lead to define Ford's overall vision on the future of mobility: determining how to address key macro societal and environmental issue such as 'global gridlock' and outlining the fundamental near/mid and long-term technologies required to deliver the plan. She is also responsible for identifying and defining the business model and supporting ecosystem as well as the development of key enabling technologies. Kristin has 20 years of experience at Ford. She spent the first 12 years of her career working in Engine and Powertrain, during which time she spent 2.5 years working in Cologne. She has spent the past 7 years in various roles in Planning and Strategy, with the past 4 years being involved in identifying and getting approval of new customer features and technologies. During her time in the feature group, 15 customer features were launched on vehicle programs, including SYNC, Park Assist and Easy Fuel. She has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
