More than 225 SAE Technical Papers are expected from the 58 technical sessions planned for electronics topics at the SAE 2006 World Congress. New among them are Intelligent Transportation Systems - Safer, Smarter, Faster and Simulation and Modeling Mechatronics. Perennial favoritesIn-Vehicle Networks, In-Vehicle Software and Distributed Embedded Systems Engineeringare also on the agenda.
On Wednesday afternoon, at the AVL Technology Theater, the keynote and panel topic will be New Applications for Vehicle Electronics and Telecommunications - Cutting Costs and Improving Customer Satisfaction. Helmut Schinagel, Executive VP Interior & Driver Environment, BMW Group will deliver the keynote address. The panel discussion will be moderated by Michelle L. More than 400 SAE Technical Papers are expected from the 78 technical sessions planned for materials topics at the SAE 2006 World Congress. Fifteen Reliability and Robust Design sessions will offer a wide range of learning opportunities from uncertainty modeling and reliability methods to optimization, verification, validation, fatigue, military and more. Magnesium and powder metallurgy are among the 60-plus remaining materials sessions that will cover a very full range of topics.
On Thursday morning, at the AVL Technology Theater, the panel topic will be Nano and Micro Technology, and MEMS - Redefining the Car of Tomorrow, Myth vs. Reality.

More than 130 SAE Technical papers are expected in emissions/environment from the SAE 2006 World Congress. Among the perennial favorites of the 32 emissions/environment technical sessions planned for Congress is the eight part offering, Diesel Exhaust Emission Control.
