Detroit Hall, Cobo Center

Join us at the A World In Motion JetToy Olympics as approximately 500 elementary school students gather to create and race balloon-powered toy cars. During this exciting competition, students learn to work as a team, apply scientific design concepts and explore the principles of jet propulsion, friction, and air resistance.

SAE International's A World In Motion is a teacher-administered, industry volunteer-assisted program that brings science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education to life for students K-12, incorporating the laws and lessons of physics, motion, flight and electronics into age-appropriate hands-on activities.
