About SAE

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE International) was founded in 1905 and has grown over the years into a comprehensive international membership organization that serves as a one-stop resource for technical information and expertise relating to the land, sea, air, and aerospace mobility community.

Based in Warrendale, PA, the SAE is a non-profit membership organization consisting of 80,000 mobility practitioners in more than 90 countries. SAE Members are engineers, educators, students, government employees, and business executives. They design, build, maintain and test a variety of self-propelled vehicles including cars, trucks, boats, planes, and spacecraft.
