Since expedient assembly and manufacturing practices in addition to improvement systems are critical success factors to the aerospace industry, this specialized event focuses on the technology and advancements of tools, processes and materials. Additionally, this event provides case-study applications and advancements in automated manufacturing, automated fastening, robotics, modeling, and simulation technology, as well as material selection and integration, plus process implementation practices such as Lean, Global Supply Chain and Six Sigma.

SAE International has merged the Aerospace Manufacturing Technology Conference (AMTC) with the Aerospace Automated Fastening Conference (AEROFAST) to create this integrated event that features more than 70 presentations by a diverse group of constituents from countries around the world. This event also includes a hands-on exhibition of advanced products and demonstrations that showcase current and future developments in aerospace.
