Multiaxial Simulation Testing and Proving Ground Correlation

A two-day SAEINDIA TOPTECH on "Multiaxial Simulation Testing and Proving Ground Correlation" will be held at ARAI from 15-16 December 2005, jointly organized by ARAI & SAEINDIA Western Section in association with Dodds and Associates, UK.

Dr. Colin J. Dodds from the UK will present requirements and techniques to "bring the Proving Ground into the Laboratory," describe the mathematical concepts involved and discuss the accuracy of the test results.

This TOPTECH is divided into six sessions starting with the introduction, followed by correlating the laboratory test to the proving ground, durability testing on a vertical 4-post test system, testing two-wheelers, front & rear suspension durability simulation and a special presentation on "Technique for Ride Comfort Analysis" by Mr. M. R. Saraf of ARAI. We have also included a visit to the Structural Dynamics Laboratory at ARAI, where Multiaxial Simulation Rig is being installed.

This TOPTECH will be of immense importance for all the engineers working in the areas of design, development, quality control, testing & evaluation of vehicles & components, with special emphasis on ride comfort, handling, durability, accelerated testing and vehicle development.
