Resources for Hurricane HarveyOur thoughts and prayers are with the people of Texas and across the Gulf Coast who have been tragically affected by Hurricane Harvey. SAE International is committed to helping with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Please join SAE by donating to the one of the below charitable organizations: United Way of Greater Houston
The United Way Relief Fund was recently launched to help support its community in the aftermath of Harvey. The devastation is great and is growing. This community will need incredible resources to recover. 100% of your gift to the United Way Relief Fund goes to help our neighbors and our community recover from Hurricane Harvey. United Way’s first priority will be safety, shelter, and basic needs, like food. Once the community is stabilized, United Way will focus on long-term recovery efforts. The Salvation Army
As Hurricane Harvey causes widespread damage across Texas, The Salvation Army is ready to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual care to survivors and relief workers. The Salvation Army disaster teams from across the country are mobilizing and, even after disaster response efforts are over, the Salvation Army will remain in communities impacted by this terrible storm, supporting long-term disaster recovery efforts and providing ongoing assistance to those in need. North Texas Food Bank
NTFB is continuing to provide resources to those impacted by Hurricane Harvey through its role in Mass Care Task Force. It is proud to have already provided ready-to-eat meals, snacks, and water and other beverages for more than 5000 evacuees in local shelters and is working to provide other assistance wherever able. UMCOR
UMCOR is currently working with disaster coordinators and early-response teams in Louisiana and Texas to provide relief to the many people whose lives have been impacted by hurricane/tropical storm Harvey. 100% of all donations go directly to help those in need. Austin Pets Alive!
Austin Pets Alive! (APA!) is an organization dedicated to promoting and providing the resources, education and programs needed to eliminate the killing of companion animals. Currently, it is helping shelters affected by Hurricane Harvey and its aftermath, and have been working with these shelters to transport as many pets as possible to APA!, and as of Wednesday morning (8/30), it has transported more than 600 animals to its shelter and is expecting up to 1000 over the next 24 hours. By the end of the week, it anticipates having as many as 2000 animals in its care. In addition to caring for this continuously growing population of dogs and cats, APA!’s Town Lake shelter has turned into a command center for animal assistance and evacuation in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Austin Pets Alive! is acting as a conduit to ferry supplies to shelters and areas most in need. It is arranging transportation for animals in need, coordinating with national partners to assist in reuniting owned animals and families.
