Tuesday, October 13 "Fundamental Brake Design Elements in Today's Market"
Dr. Rudy Limpert is a consulting engineer on motor vehicles and traffic safety, specializing in brake system analysis and accident reconstruction. He has been an automobile mechanic and brake design engineer. He has served as safety standards engineer in the area of vehicle dynamics for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Utah, where he directed a multidisciplinary accident investigation team for the US Department of Transportation. He has taught brake design seminars for SAE International as well as brake and vehicle manufacturers for many years. The author of four books, numerous research papers and brake system design computer programs, Dr. Limpert received his Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, his M.S. and B.E.S. from Brigham Young University, and his B.S. in design and manufacturing from the Engineering School of Wolfenbuettel.
