SAE 2013 Active Safety Systems Symposium

Although significant gains have been made in reducing injuries and casualties that occur from traffic accidents in the United States, we are still facing many challenges in advancing mobility safety. New strategies are needed to sustain this downward trend.

This three-day Symposium will explore the current safety technologies available to the industry, along with the OEM application of near-term and long-term active safety systems. Additional examination and its effect on increasing the future development of autonomous vehicle technology will be addressed.
