Robert Cudini, Designing Engineer - Body Structures
Rob is a design and release engineer in the upper body structure engineering group at General Motors, responsible for Chevrolet Volt body structure components. His career began in 2007 with internships in GM's Body Manufacturing and Hybrid Thermal Controls groups. Rob is a committee chair in the GM JumpStart employee resource group, helping to communicate the activities and initiatives of the new hire employee group. Rob obtained a master's degree in Energy Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2010 and is currently working on his master's degree in Global Automotive & Manufacturing Engineering, also from the University of Michigan. Rob previously earned his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan in 2009. During his time in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan, he was President of the SAE Student Chapter and led the chapter's participation at events such as SAE World Congress in Detroit. Rob was awarded a SAE Outstanding Student Officer Award in 2007 and participated in the 2009 SAE Leadership Development Program.
