Young Professional Activities at Convergence

In response to overwhelming positive customer feedback, a SAE Young Professional's (YP) Strategic Leadership Council has been formed to support Young Professional activities associated with SAE 2014 Convergence.

The exciting programs and activities for Young Professionals at Convergence are designed to inform, encourage and motivate the leaders of tomorrow. This initiative will provide solid leadership principles that they can carry throughout their career. These activities also provide a valuable opportunity to learn from and network with executives from major corporations.

As technology continues to change and critical issues arise, these skills are more important now than ever.

This event is an opportunity for young professionals to engage with executives in an informal setting. Mentors will be stationed around the room while small groups of the Young Professional participants rotate to different stations at set time intervals. The stations will consist only of chairs facing each other creating a comfortable, level atmosphere for communication. Seating is limited, register up today!

Freescale Cup

The Freescale Cup is an autonomous, intelligent race car competition. The competing teams will be challenged to build, program, and race a model car around a track for speed. The fastest car to complete the track without derailing, wins. Learn more

2014 Call for Posters

NEW for 2014 - SAE 2014 Convergence will now be hosting Student Poster Presentations. The purpose of these posters is to explain, instruct, define, clarify, demonstrate, and teach the impact of electronic systems, and the issues critical to mobility electronics implementation.

Students are required to submit a 200-word abstract, which will then be reviewed by the Poster Chair for consideration. Posters are to be academic in nature, and not to be used for commercialization or promotion of any specific product(s).

Volunteers Needed

We are looking for YP's willing to volunteer at Convergence for half a day. In appreciation for your volunteerism, a "free" day of access to Convergence will be given to any individual who volunteers.
