As Director of Transmission & Driveline Engineering, Ram Krishnaswami is responsible for all aspects of engineering automatic transmissions, drivelines and N.A. manual transmissions for all programs in Ford Motor Co. globally. Krishnaswami’s team is responsible for component engineering, systems engineering, program management and calibration for all global programs. He has held various positions in Ford’s Transmissions & Driveline division, including Chief Engineer for Systems Engineering. He subsequently moved from TDE to become Chief Engineer of the Global Powertrain NVH group. Krishnaswami holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Delhi University, a master’s in engineering mechanics from the University of Kentucky, and master’s in system design and management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is also a certified 6 Sigma Black Belt.

Seth Metzger serves as Vice President of Engineering and Quality for Light Vehicle Driveline at Dana Holding Corp. In this role, he leads multidisciplined groups within Dana, develops and executes business strategy, and assists in securing and launching new business platforms. Additionally, Metzger delivers engineering strategy, designs technology roadmaps, and is responsible for advanced manufacturing processes. Prior to his current position, Metzger was the Senior Director of Core Engineering and Engineering Services, where he was responsible for gear engineering and providing strategic direction for axle and driveshaft products. Since joining Dana in 2003, Metzger has held various positions, including roles as engineering director, chief product engineer, and product engineer for axles. Seth earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Toledo.

Chris Thomas joined BorgWarner in 2010 as Vice President, Advanced Engineering, Engine Group, and added the responsibility of Vice President, Advanced Engineering, Drivetrain Group, in February 2012. He was promoted to Chief Technology Officer in July 2012 and in addition to his corporate responsibilities, he leads Corporate Advanced Engineering with facilities in Auburn Hills, MI; Ithaca, NY; Asheville, NC; and Ludwigsburg and Ketsch, Germany. Before joining BorgWarner, Thomas worked at Chrysler Group LLC as Head of International Industrial Strategy. During his 20-year career at Chrysler, he held various powertrain positions. Thomas holds more than two dozen patents in engine design, control algorithms, thermal management, and drivetrain systems in both the United States and Europe. He was the recipient of the Walter P. Chrysler Award for patent of the year in 1995 and SAE’s Forest R. McFarland Award in 2002. Thomas holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. He received his master’s in strategy and innovation from the Said Business School at the University of Oxford.
