Experience the Technology - Special Ride & Drive Opportunity

October 16, 2014
GM Proving Grounds
Milford, Michigan, USA

Featuring over 25 vehicles from various OEM's and Tier One suppliers, attendees will be able to drive, ride in, and observe demonstration vehicles in real driving conditions. Plan now to participate in this special-access event and gain first-hand knowledge of transmission, vehicle dynamics, ride and handling, and off-road capabilities.

Does your vehicle have what it takes? Put your vehicle or technology to the test on one of the proving ground's nine test tracks including the Lane Change, Traction Hills, and the Off-Road Course! Symposium organizers are soliciting vehicles for both static and driven demonstrations to showcase pioneering transmission technologies on the following tracks:

  • Traction Hills - Drivers can test vehicle launch and transmission performance on various friction surfaces and grades
  • Lane Change - Enables participants to test vehicle handling through lane changes, or a test-engineered slalom course
  • Off Road Course - Circuit contains various obstacles and surfaces to test vehicle dynamics and handling including: sand pit, moguls, rock/obstacle climb and a 45% grade
  • South Loop - Allows driver to vary driving speed in order to test acceleration, drive quality, and shift quality
  • Basalt Tiles - Test vehicle performance and mu launches on a low friction surface
