Amer Amer Amer, Amer
Saudi Aramco

Dr. Amer has been active in the engines and fuels area for over twenty years including engine research, implementation of new engine technology in vehicles and research leadership - he is currently the Fuels Chief Technologist at Saudi Aramco's R&D Center in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He has been instrumental in the rapid expansion of Saudi Aramco's fuels research in Dhahran and in two new satellite centers in Paris and Detroit as well as in establishing collaborative research projects with universities and Automakers. He is currently leading a global team responsible for executing projects of great strategic significance to the auto and oil industries developing efficient, clean and affordable fuel/engine systems using less processed fuels.

Bengt Johansson Bengt Johansson
Lund University

Mr. Johansson is Professor in Internal Combustion Engines at Lund University since 2001 and head of the combustion engine group since 2004. He is also director of the Centre of Competence Combustion Processes with a number of international industry partners since 2003. His group is among the leaders in low temperature combustion research. Bengt Johansson is 2011-2015 part time professor at TU Eindhoven, the Netherlands and was Springer Professor at University of California at Berkeley 2006-2007. He has been main organizer for the HCCI sessions for the last 20 or more SAE conferences and also the two HCCI symposia in Lund 2005 and 2007. He is chairman of the Combustion and Fuels Committee at the Land and Sea group within SAE 2012-2014. He is since 2006 chair for the HCCI fuels collaborative task within the Combustion Agreement at International Energy Agency, IEA. Within this duty he organized the annual IEA task leaders meeting in Lund 2011. He received the Horning Memorial Award 2000 for best SAE paper 1999, the Arch T. Colwell Merit Award 2000 and Forest R. McFarland Award in 2005, all three from SAE. He was promoted to SAE fellow 2005. He got the "Gunnar Engströms ABB-Stiftelse" award 1998 and "Volvo Håkan Frisinger" award 2011. He has by November 2012 more than 240 publications, with 3800 citations, an H-index of 32 and i10 index of 91 according to Google scholar that include SAE papers. He has given more than 40 invited talks and keynotes on high efficiency and low emission combustion concepts, mainly HCCI and PPC.
