Takehito Yokoo is the Chief Powertrain Engineer with Toyota's Product Development Office (PDO) at Toyota Technical Center (TTC), part of Toyota's North American R&D center, a division of Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing, North America, Inc. (TEMA).

Mr. Yokoo earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Hosei University in Japan before beginning his career at Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) in 1981.

Mr. Yokoo's background includes managing suitability testing of advanced powertrain configurations in North America, and coordinating the development of new or improved alternate powertrain system controls for Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicles (FCHV), Gasoline Hybrid Vehicles (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV).

Currently, his responsibilities have been extended to include strategic planning with a focus on technologies that enable sustainable transportation systems.

Automotive Research and Design (AR&D)

Jeff Minter is the Executive Director of Technical Training for Automotive Research and Design (AR&D). Jeff has been involved with webinar development, training materials and the Society of Automotive Engineers' Hybrid Diagnostic Certificate of Competence program.

Prior to working with AR&D, Mr. Minter was employed as a full-time Automotive Technology Instructor at Madison Area Technical College in Madison, WI. During his time there, he was responsible for researching and purchasing automotive diagnostic and repair equipment as well as developing curricula and teaching classes. Mr. Minter's main areas of instruction were automotive electricity/electronics, powertrain management, advanced drivability diagnosis and hybrid electric vehicles. He has also consulted for other organizations such as the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) as part of their Electric Vehicle Safety Training Program.

Prior to entering his educational profession, Mr. Minter worked as an automotive technician at various dealerships including Mercedes Benz, Chevrolet, and Hyundai. He has an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology from Madison Area Technical College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from the University of Wisconsin - Stout.

Jeff is currently ASE Certified as a Master Technician, an L1 Advanced Engine Performance Specialist, A9 Light Vehicle Diesel Engines, and F1 Alternative Fuels Technician.
