Eric Tech

Eric Tech Eric Tech is senior vice president, Strategy and Planning, and president, Global and Specialty Businesses. Eric is responsible for our global truck, engine and parts businesses, including MWM International in Brazil and our China engine joint venture. He also oversees Pure Power Technologies and the Blue Diamond joint ventures.

At a corporate level Tech's role includes strategic planning, business development and M&A. This is important work that not only sets the course for the short term, but for our long-term future as well, including a path to meaningful growth once we emerge from our turnaround.

Eric joined Navistar in 2006, leading Engine's light, medium and heavy-duty engine business. He became president of Navistar's Engine Group in 2008, where he has overseen significant growth in Brazil and establishing Navistar's engine joint venture in China.

Before joining Navistar, Tech spent almost two decades at the Ford Motor Company. At Ford, he was most recently chief engineer for Super Duty Truck Programs. Prior to that, Tech held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, quality, product planning, and vehicle and program management positions.

Tech has a bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers. He also serves as a National Trustee for the Boys and Girls Club, a Member of the Chicago Advisory Board for the Salvation Army and an Elder at the Community Presbyterian Church in Clarendon Hills, IL.
