Bob Lee Bob Lee is Vice President and Head of Engine Powertrain and Electrified Propulsion Systems Engineering for FCA US LLC, formerly Chrysler Group LLC. In this capacity, he has responsibility for directing the design, development and release of all engines and electrified propulsion systems for Chrysler Group products. The latest innovative products include the 707-hp Hellcat engine which has made global headlines and the diesel engine in the Ram 1500 which has earned the highest mpg ever given to a full-size pickup. Both of these engines were winners of the 2015 Ward's Ten Best Engines

Lee also serves as Head of Global Powertrain Coordination on the Group Executive Council (GEC) for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (FCA), formerly Fiat S.p.A. The GEC is the highest executive decision-making body within FCA outside of its Board of Directors. The GEC is responsible for reviewing the operating performance of the businesses, setting performance targets, making key strategic decisions and investments for the Group and sharing best practices, including the development and deployment of key human resources.

Lee joined the company in 1978 as an engineer-in-training in the Chrysler Institute of Engineering program and has since held a variety of positions in Powertrain. He has been an active member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) since 1978. He is a founding member of the SAE North American International Powertrain Conference Leadership Team and served as the 2007and 2012 NAIPC Conference Chairman. He has been a member of the Executive Committee for the SAE Global Leadership Conference since 2010 and was the Chairman of the 2014 event.

Lee holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Michigan State University, a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
