Patrick HupperichDr. Patrick Hupperich is President and Chief Executive Officer of FEV North America, Inc. Hupperich's FEV career spans a period of 25 years. Dr. Hupperich has extensive experience in the performance development, design and validation of powertrains for automotive and commercial applications, including diesel, gasoline as well as alternative fuels. He began his career at FEV's global headquarters in Aachen, Germany and spent the early years of his career working in the area of combustion system development of both diesel and gasoline engines. In 1995, he was promoted to a position as the department manager for alternative fuel engine development with responsibilities for both automotive and industrial applications. Dr. Hupperich joined FEV's subsidiary in Auburn Hills, Michigan in 1998 and was responsible for managing a large concept-to-production program for the development of a large-bore diesel engine for locomotive application. Following the successful launch of the engine, Hupperich took over responsibility for all of FEV's production engine programs in North America. In 2011, Hupperich was named Vice President, Commercial Engines and Test Systems. In this role, he oversaw the growth and diversification of FEV's large and heavy-duty engine business and directed FEV's growing business as a general contractor and turn-key supplier of state-of-the-art test facilities. Dr. Hupperich was named president and CEO of FEV North America, Inc. in January of 2014 and is responsible for all of FEV's North American operations. Hupperich holds his Masters and doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aachen Technical University.
