Tony Ockelford has served as Director of Global Powertrain Planning and Strategy for Ford Motor Company, a position he has held since Dec 2007.
Ockelford has over 29 years of Powertrain experience with Ford and has held positions in Powertrain calibration, installation components, Performance Fuel Economy and Emissions systems development, Project management, relationship management and also product / business planning.
Although he started his Ford career in the UK, Ockelford has spent significant time on foreign assignments in both Germany and the US. He has also had the opportunity to work extensively with other OEMs including GM, PSA and Mazda. Through these experiences Ockelford has come to truly value the benefits of working globally across corporate and national cultures.
Prior to joining Ford, Ockelford served for 5 years as a Diesel Fuel Systems engineer for Lucas CAV Ltd in the UK.
In addition to his professional experience his formal qualifications include; a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Queen Mary College University of London and an MSc in Advanced Automotive Engineering from Loughborough University.
