Acoustical Materials Workshop

Room Michigan A/B, Lobby Level 7:30 p.m.

The Acoustical Materials Workshop this year will cover a wide variety of topics by noted experts from the OEM and supplier communities. There will be an overview of how acoustical energy propagates from the source, along the path arriving finally at receiver in the motor vehicle environment. System integration of damping, sealers and panel reinforcement will be discussed along with the mechanics of how acoustical insulators work. Design tools for acoustical materials, such as analytical modeling will be reviewed. Finally, the 90 minute workshop will conclude with future trends in vehicle sound package design and vehicle integration.
