Companion Tour Information
The following guided companion tours have been arranged through the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo. Reservations must be made via e-mail only to: reception@hotelmediterraneo.com. A credit card will be required to guarantee a reservation. However, it is SAE's understanding that cash payment is required to pick up your tour voucher(s), upon arrival at the Grand Hotel Mediterraneo.

Monday, June 15 - Florence Guided City Tour (morning & light lunch), 53 Euro. Departure h.09:30; end h.12:30.
Drive along the romantic Viale dei Colli up to Piazzale Michelangelo, a stop to admire the wonderful panorama of the city, one of the most beautiful in the world. The tour will proceed by coach through the old city centre. There will then be a walking guided visit of the outdoor Duomo complex, the Baptistery with its bronze doors including the famous Porta del Paradiso, and a visit to the Cathedral with the magnificent Cupola del Brunelleschi and Giotto's bell tower. A short walk through the historic streets of the heart of Florence brings you to the renowned Bargello Museum and the Medici Chapels. Following the city tour, the attendees will enjoy a light lunch and drinks in a historic restaurant in the centre.
Tuesday, June 16 - Excursion to Pisa, 40 Euro. Departure h.09:00; end h.13:00.
Enjoy a splendid excursion through the fertile and picturesque Tuscan countryside to the historic university city of Pisa, famous for its architectural beauty. Upon arrival in Pisa, take a guided walking tour of Piazza dei Miracoli with the celebrated Leaning Tower (exterior), the Baptistery (exterior) and other important monuments. This is followed by a visit to the interior of the Cathedral, an unrivaled masterpiece of Romanesque art constructed between the 11th and 12th centuries. Free time is at your disposal. Those who are interested can take a pleasant walk with our tour escort and reach Piazza dei Cavalieri, where you can admire the historic Scuola Normale, one of the most famous universities in the world.
Wednesday, June 17 - Guided Visit to the Uffizi Gallery, 30 Euro. Departure h. 09:00; end h. 10:30.
You can't leave Florence without visiting one of the most important art galleries in the world. Here you can admire numerous works of art by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Giotto, Cimabue, Masaccio.
