Oakland University Automotive Product Development Management Certificate Program
SAE has partnered with Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan to offer a series of courses on product development management. As part of the partnership, SAE offers the courses at SAE Automotive Headquarters in Troy, MI using Oakland University approved courseware and instructors.
About the Certificate Program
The Certificate takes a unique interdisciplinary approach to directly address the integration and cross-functional skills necessary for customers and suppliers to manage projects from concept through production. The program includes four 2-day seminars. For those completing the four courses, SAE and Oakland University jointly confers a Certificate of Achievement awarding 1.3 CEUs for each course. Individuals who do not desire the entire certificate can still benefit from taking the courses that appeal to their needs.
Target Audience
Professionals working in ground vehicle OEMs and suppliers who are responsible for various product creation activities will find the cross-functional subject matter practical and immediately useful. Functional areas include:

Dynamic Interactive Format
Each course utilizes a highly interactive format blending lectures with readings, exercises, cases and active participation to lead students through models of integrating all aspects of product creation. All SAE Seminars are offered during full-day sessions at SAE Automotive Headquarters, National City building, 755 W. Big Beaver Road, Suite 1600, Troy, MI or may be brought on-site through Oakland University's Center for Executive and Continuing Education, 248-370-3271.
