Message to Attendees: SAE International has made every effort to secure the best possible group nightly room rate for you at this event. That rate results from a negotiated overall package of event needs such as sleeping rooms, meeting room space and other requirements. Contracts with the venue include a provision to reduce event costs if SAE meets or exceeds its minimum sleeping room block guarantee. Conversely, event costs will increase if SAE falls short of its minimum room block guarantee. Please help SAE keep the costs of this event as low as possible by booking your housing needs at the designated host hotel and through the reservation process created by SAE. Reserving elsewhere means you are booking outside the contracted room block, jeopardizing SAE's ability to meet its contracted obligations and to keep registration fees to a minimum. RESTAURANTS IN THE HOTEL
LaFayette Restaurant is located just off the Lobby and is open for: Breakfast from Monday-Saturday 6:30am-10am; Sunday from 6:30am-10:30am. Lunch & Dinner from Monday-Saturday 12Noon-10:30pm; Sunday from 12:30pm-10:30pm. Buffet service from Monday-Saturday 12Noon-2:30pm and 6:30pm to 10:30pm; Sunday 12:30pm-2:30pm and 6:30pm-10:30pm. Tea room and pastries available every afternoon.

Bar LaFayette is located in the Lobby and is open daily from 10:00am-1:00am. Business breakfasts are available throughout the morning from 8:00am-11:00am. From 9:00pm daily French and International songs are performed in the Piano Bar.

Panoramic Bar is located on the 33rd floor with breathtaking views of the city. The bar is open during the week from 4:00pm-1:00am and the weekend from 3:00pm-1:00am.

TRAVEL
Le Palais des Congres De Paris is located at 2, place de la Porte Maillot, Paris. Situated only ten minutes walking from the Champs-Elysees, the Paris Conference Centre is located in Porte Maillot, north-west of the central area of Paris, easily reached by both air, road and rail. As well as having direct access to the Boulevard Peripherique (ring road, exit: Porte Maillot) and 1700 car parking spaces, the centre is within easy reach of:

THINGS TO DO AND SEE IN PARIS:
Arc de Triomphe - The work of Chalgrin. Located on the most beautiful perspective view of Paris, half way between the Tuileries Gardens and the Arche de la Defense. The Arc de Triomphe is the culminating point of the Voie Triomphale.

Conciergerie - First prison in Paris and last remnant of the Palais des Capetiens, the Conciergerie is associated with memories of the revolution.

Les Invalides - One of the most prestigious sets of buildings in Paris: The Hotel des Invalides houses and Musee de L'Armee (superb collection of historic weapons and armour, uniforms and memorabilia) and the Musee des Plans-Reliefs.

Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris - Gothic masterpiece, Notre Dame was designed by Maurice de Sully and constructed between the 12th and 14th centuries.

Pantheon - A soufflot masterpiece, this former church has become the "necropolis of great men". Here lie, most notably, Voltaire, Rousseau, Hugo, Zola, Pierre and Marie Curie, Jaures, Moulin, Maltraux. The nave, upper parts and crypt can be visited.

Eiffel Tower - Built for the Universal Exhibition of 1889, la Tour Eiffel has come to symbolise Paris all over the world. From the third floor there is a view over Paris and the Ile de France extending to a 70 km radius.

Maison Victor Hugo - Victor Hugo lived here from 1832 to 1848.

Louvre Museum - Museum divided into 7 departments, from Antiquity to the mid 19th century; Oriental, Egyptian, Greek, Etruscan and Roman antiquities; Paintings, Sculptures, Objects of art and Graphic arts.

Theme/Leisure Parks:
Disneyland Paris - A journey through time and a voyage of exploration in the magical kingdom of Disney.

Thoiry Zoological Gardens and Theme Park - African safari by car. Botanical and zoological gardens, 16th century chateau.
