How the Sections Board Serves Countries with few SAE Members or Emerging Technology
Countries having 25 or more SAE members but no local section can link closely with SAE International and the Sections Board through their International Advisor. The International Advisor Network currently has a volunteer representative placed in 26 countries around the world. Advisors receive regular informational communications from SAE headquarters.
In certain countries, there is a great need for SAE technology and networking benefits. Yet, these countries do not have many SAE members. SAE enlists the assistance of consultants in these countries, who basically market SAE benefits and services and act as a communication liaison between the local engineers and SAE to ensure that the needed programs and services are available and affordable.
