How the Sections Board Links to SAE Sections

Most of the programs and activities that affect sections are developed and administered under the auspices of the Sections Board. Good examples are the Operational Plan and Report, section Financial Plan and Report, and section member listings and mailing labels, which are generated for sections by SAE headquarters. In addition, section recognition programs such as the Sections Board Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards of Excellence are administered by the Sections Board.

An important aspect of section operations is SAE dues reimbursement allocations, a program that provides sections with a portion of the individual dues money paid to SAE International by the members of the section. This reimbursement is to be used by sections to help fund their activities and programs. The allocation of these funds to sections is administered and monitored by the Sections Board.
