Biography

Anil Menawat, Ph.D. is the founder of Menawat & Co. (www.menawat.com). He has over 20 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. As a champion of integrated manufacturing process and financial analytics he has helped companies develop divisional business and manufacturing strategies, and reduce manufacturing costs. His experience spans across discrete manufacturing, rubber, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Anil was Senior Manager for Advanced Manufacturing Technology and New Business Development at Aeroquip Corp. where he played a key role in creating a new division for Advanced Computer Technologies. Prior to that, Anil was an Assistant Professor at Tulane University; Visiting Professor & Consultant at Abbott Labs; and Process Design Engineer at Union Carbide.

Anil was profiled by Business Week magazine in 1994 for his pioneering work on nonlinear systems theory and is listed in Who's Who in Science and Engineering. He is an invited speaker and panelist on manufacturing systems, and has published over 25 articles in scientific and trade journals. He has chaired several national and international symposiums and conferences and has served on a National Science Foundation technology panel. His Ph.D. is in Systems Theory.

Adam Garfein, Ph.D. is co-founder of Menawat & Co. (www.menawat.com) with responsibilities touching strategy, marketing, product development, business development and client services. Prior to joining Menawat & Co., Adam founded Devane Corporation, a strategy, process and e-business consulting and education firm. Adam has over 15 years of strategic and operational experience with both manufacturing and services companies. His experiences encompass a variety of industries including software, Internet, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, automotive, construction management, Universities, State government, and the Federal government. He is an invited speaker and panelist on issues of strategy, operational execution, marketing and e-business and has published numerous articles in scientific and trade journals. Adam was a research scientist in the field of gerontology - the study of adult development and aging - prior to entering business and technology consulting.
