Ken Jordan joined Salomon Smith Barney (SSB) as Planning Director of the Midwest Division in September of 1999. Previously, Ken spent 25 years in the private practice of law concentrating on estate planning, trust administration, corporate and commercial law. As Planning Director, Ken is responsible for the preparation of comprehensive financial and estate planning analyses for SSB clients in the Midwest, training, consultation with SSB financial consultants on financial and estate planning issues, presentations to the public, and serves as a liaison with financial and estate planning professionals working with SSB clients.
A graduate of Colby College and the University of Maine School of Law, Ken is currently a member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, an organization of estate planning professionals to which he was elected in 1991. He is a member of the American Bar Association Tax and Estate Planning Section, has authored numerous articles on estate and business planning and is a frequent lecturer before professional and lay organizations. He was formerly adjunct professor of law at the University of Maine School of Law, teaching Estate and Gift Taxation and Estate Planning.
