Lemo adds a rugged waterproof USB Type A connector to its M Series family of harsh environment, lightweight ratchet-coupling compact connectors. The vibration-resistant connector meets IP68 when mated and was designed for outdoor use including harsh oil/petroleum, mining, military, marine, and automotive applications that require reliability in a rugged connection. The M Series offers insert configurations from 2 to 114 contacts and features a small, compact, and lightweight package constructed of an aluminum or brass outershell with conductive finish. The product line includes panel mount sockets, plugs, and protective caps.
